My name is Phil Barrow, and I’m the manager of A Walk Through , Talk Through History - Wales

I am a living historian / re enactor of 30 years’ experience. With portrayal of the Welsh soldier from 1879 to 1969. Over the past six years I have been portraying Home Guard and a Swansea Borough Police officer on the Home front of the Second world war.

In 2019 I gave a talk on Gower Home Guard as a favour for a village Council in Gower. This and future talks became very successful and well received by the public.

In May 2023 I was invited to give a talk on the Home front in Swansea and Gower to year 6 pupils in Gower.

I was encouraged to start a business in November 2023. Therefore, I came up with the idea to not only give Welsh history lessons to children around South Wales, but also being able and willing to go to schools and youth clubs, Army, Air and Sea Cadets by carrying out a fun and exciting talk /workshop.

I decided, to come up with the idea to not only give Welsh history lessons of 19th and 20th Centuries to children around South Wales, but to enhance their learning experience.

I am also the proud owner of a 1941 Bedford MWD lorry.
